The application process for McNair Academic and Infinity High School is now open to 8th and 9th-grade students seeking admission! The application process is only open to students residing in Jersey City. Online applications can be accessed through this link starting November 26, 2024. Completed applications must be submitted by December 16, 2024 by 11:59 pm. Note that a PSAT score is still a required part of the application. hi, can my kid still apply for mcnair? we were not made aware of the opening of application. I was misled by previous year posts, where it was always January to open application..We were also not notified by his current school counselor…please advise. ty

Hi Kierstine! I’m sorry to hear that. Typically, schools inform students about application openings. However, if your school counselor did not notify you, I recommend speaking with them to discuss the next steps you should take.

Hi Kierstine! Your child doesn’t happen to go to St. Joseph’s do they? A similar situation is happening with my niece. She missed her PSAT because her teacher gave her and her mom the wrong information. Now there’s no way to know if she can take a makeup and the status of her application to McNair is completely unclear.

McNair is aiming to be quicker with the process this year. Their plan is to begin accepting students in late February/early March.
